Google Dresses Up for the Holidays

Have you gotten around to putting up your Christmas tree yet? Or strung the lights around your house that sync up to the Frozen soundtrack?  Well, get ready to pull out those boxes of ornaments and dust off your best ugly holiday sweater, because Google has already put up its tree, Menorah and Kinara to ring in the holiday season.

Like it has done in the past, Google results pages for holiday-themed searches now come with a festive banner.

Searches including the phrase “Christmas” return a snowy scene with fully lit Christmas trees:

While searching “Hannukah” — or any appropriate spelling variation — gives you a flickering Menorah.

google hannukah

And looking up “Kwanzaa” will produce a shining Kinara.

As with previous years — see the banners from 2013 and 2012 — each of these pages is animated. For a special surprise, make sure to search “Festivus” too and see what you find!
